Andrea Cooley

Create a five-star, luxury, spa-like shower for less than $100. While honeymooning in Hawaii, Andrea and Adam Cooley fell in love with their hotel’s bathroom. The shower had a curved curtain rod and rainfall showerhead.

Recreating the luxury shower at home was quick and easy. “In less than a half hour, we installed the new shower rod and shower head,” Andrea says.

Replacing the existing showerhead was as simple as unscrewing the old one with pliers, wrapping the pipe threads with Teflon tape (came with the showerhead), and screwing in the new showerhead.

Andrea and Adam took down their existing tension rod and installed the curved shower rod just above their built-in shower stall. “We were able to add a touch of luxury to our bathroom at home. I love the extra room in the shower,” Andrea says. “I’m spoiled, I’m not sure I could go back to a regular shower without feeling claustrophobic,” she says.

Bonus: The curved shower rod uses the same size shower curtain!
