15. In a mud tray or small bucket, prepare a “cream” to fill in the voids with contrasting color. Blend 1 cup of cool water with the iron sulfate and concrete bonder. Slowly sift in the plaster of paris, without stirring.
16. Let the dry plaster absorb into the water and then stir it: It should have the consistency of cream. (Note: Once mixed, plaster of Paris dries very quickly, so don’t stir it until you’re ready to apply.)

17. Using a mud knife or putty knife, apply the mixture to the top of the concrete surface.
18. Quickly fill the voids. Smear the plaster across the surface of the tabletop. It will be white. The iron sulfate will slowly oxidize and change color as the paste dries. Let it sit overnight. |
